The Word Buffs got together for an absolutely spiffing British Cream Tea at the Cappuccino Bar in Orba this week, where they meet every Thursday morning to play word games, or to review the Book of the Month.
On Thursday 11th October, 39 U3A members left Jalon on a trip to Ayora Honey Festival in the Valencia Region. We made a quick stop for coffee just outside Villena before proceeding to Virtudes Wine and Olive Oil Bodega, Villena.

Yes, it certainly was a night for the Vall del Pop Singers. We made our way to the Casa de Cultura in El Verger to celebrate a Musical Gala Evening. Along with Oliva U3A Choir, Chaplaincy Choir (Calpe), Sounds Familiar and Adagio, they waited their turn to perform.
On Wednesday 26th September the U3A Vall del Pop Wine Tasting group had their first tasting of the season at the Black Apple Bistro in Jalon, which intriguingly shares the premises with the florist “Heidi’s Flowers”. As the weather was showery our tables were set amongst the beautiful flowers. 31 members attended. A lively night at a new venue for us.
