U3A Keeps Going
Usually during the summer months of July and August many members have family and friends visiting , so it is a busy time for them. Our Sharing and Caring group realised that this might not be the case for some members, who are unable to get together with family/friends for whatever reasons, so they decided that their monthly Coffee Mornings, held at the Shack in Xalo, would continue, but for the summer every two weeks.
It´s a great opportunity for members to get together for a chat and for the team to keep in touch. We usually have about 25 members attending, with lots of chat and laughter. The next coffee morning is 2nd August, followed by a special Summer Coffee Morning on the 4th August, where it´s Cava and Cake in a lovely garden setting. We will be resuming groups gatherings in September with our monthly General Assembly on Thursday 7th September, when the Pick and Mix Ukulele group will be providing entertainment, with the Goodwill Team adding to the fun by serving Scones, Cream and Jam. This will be a very popular event, so make sure the date is in your diary.
Now I am sure you are all be sensible about the weather , but please play safe, stay hydrated and we will see you all again in September.
