Ladies At Lunch
The U3A Vall Del Pop, Ladies At Lunch, resumed after it’s summer break, on Tuesday 12th September 2023. This was a little earlier in the month, due to a number of members joining the U3A trip to Zaragoza which is falling on our usual third Tuesday of the month.
So where did we go? Well, this too, was a change. We ventured a little further out of the Vall Del Pop to Moraira, where twenty ladies sat down for a meal at Casa Lili’s Asian Restaurant.
Once we were all settled in our seats the waiting staff took our orders for drinks, of which a glass of wine, water or beer were included with our meal. The banquet for four persons had been arranged prior to our arrival, which worked perfectly with twenty of us.
A salad, followed by pork skewers, tempura prawns and vegetables, duck and pancakes, rice, noodles, spicy prawns, sizzling beef, arrived at intervals, all were delicious and completed by a choice of sweets and coffee. We were definitely full, but the House served complimentary Limoncello or Baileys – so who could say “no”!
Our meal did not disappoint any of us, it was a real treat, with great company, topped by excellent service from the new manager, Rosa and her team.
