Oh What A Night!
Yes, it certainly was a night for the Vall del Pop Singers. We made our way to the Casa de Cultura in El Verger to celebrate a Musical Gala Evening. Along with Oliva U3A Choir, Chaplaincy Choir (Calpe), Sounds Familiar and Adagio, they waited their turn to perform.
This really was the biggest concert that we had been invited to perform at and maybe the nerves were a little ragged, but once we got into our first number they disappeared. Singing the tune ‘Downtown’ we had all the audience joining in and our final number ‘I’m a Believer’ had them clapping and singing along.
The finale was a really special occasion when all the performers came onto the stage to sing The Rose, made famous by Bette Midler, and Rhythm of Life. What an evening for the group. Everyone agreed that it was a great experience and would love to do it again.
