On Thursday 7th February the U3A Vall del Pop members attended a lively general assembly at the Centre Polivalent in Murla. Before the meeting started the room was buzzing with members renewing their membership, booking trips with the TCET, discussing group activity options and enjoying coffee and cakes, arranged by the Goodwill Charity Team and their volunteer cake makers {more next week - hopefully}.

On Wednesday 23rd January 18 members of the U3A Vall del Pop Wine Tasting group braved another cold and windy night to attend a wine tasting at the family-run Parcent bodega. The bodega was started in 2002 by Armando and Nuria Moras, brother and sister, where they focus on producing quality rather than quantity by selecting and hand picking their grapes at the optimum point of maturity.
As we enter the second year of the Monday Group, and the fifth year of the Thursday Group, this might be a good time to review progress so far.
Now, with a name and looks like this you'd expect a Scandinavian or Eastern European accent wouldn't you? You'd be wrong. Despite living in Spain since she was five years old...it was broad Glaswegian! Jana gave our U3A a most entertaining insight into her very varied and well-travelled life.
At the General Assembly on 7th February, a group of lovely ladies arrived with a fabulous array of mouth-watering home baking, all to be sold in aid of the Goodwill Team’s Charity Fund.
